Since 2017 the JHF started with a so-called Expedition for young Dutch students from the Jewish community.
The purpose of this expedition is:
To engage the students into our work in Central- and Eastern-Europe;
To get a better insight into the projects we support;
To promote interaction and exchange of ideas between Dutch Jewish students and youngsters from Central- and Eastern-Europe.
In 2017: Two students, Tessa Leviton and Elias Poolman, visited summer camps which our fund supported in Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. They were very enthusiastic about the projects. Not only did they learn what the organizations do during those summer camps, but they also made new friends and can use the knowledge they gained for their own benefit.
In 2018: Shany Azoulay visited projects in Serbia, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
In 2019: Timor Faber visited projects in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and Hungary.
