How to apply for a project grant

The application forms are available on the JHF website. Application forms should be filled out on our website on or before 1 July 2012. This deadline will be strictly adhered to. Applications should be made for projects starting after 1 January of the following year.

Ordinarily, the Board of the JHF will decide on awards of grants in November of each year.

 

Disbursement framework

Organizations can apply for 1, 2 or 3 years. Organizations can only submit one application per year. If an organization submits more than one application, the JHF will not take any of the applications into consideration.

Please note: If the JHF approves a project for more than 1 year, that organization cannot submit any new applications for those year(s) that the grants from the JHF have been assigned, even if we have reduced the amount requested.

The requested amount of any grant shall not be more than €10.000 per year:

• 10.000 Euro for 1 year;
• 20.000 Euro for 2 years;
• 30.000 Euro for 3 years.

The geographic focus is Central and Eastern Europe.

 

Required forms and documents

Organizations applying for funding should use the application form which can be found on this website of the JHF. The required budget should be included.

The following documents should be send to the JHF by regular mail.These documents do not need to be translated into English; the original language is allowed.

• Annual financial reports for the past two years (2010 and 2011). These must include a balance sheet, a profit & loss account per year and explanatory notes. Even if you have sent the annual financial reports to our office already in the past, you should send them again.
• A listing of your organization in the official public register;
• Articles of Association of your organization;
• The published activity reports of your organization for the past two years;
• An auditor’s report (if available).

Once a project has been completed, the organization shall promptly:

• send a Project Report;
• provide reliable evidence that the project has been carried out;
• provide a statement of revenues and expenditures of the project and an activity report of the past year.
